HANDLE

Handle

Simplicity of operation. Once the correct adapters are properly installed, all operations are controlled from the handle. The controls consist of: ON/OFF switch, FORWARD/REVERSE switch, twist-grip “throttle”, and lever used to engage the long arms on to the aircraft attachment points.

Close-up of the handle attachment area. The handle can be removed is seconds by removing two Lynch pins, the handle shaft, one quick-release pin, and the electrical plug. The handle can easily be repositioned by pulling the quick-release pin and choosing different holes in the rod, including a vertical position to clear a hangar door. The window on the cover (above the 1st “A” in AeroKART) allows the status LEDs of the battery charger to be viewed.

This view shows the cover removed exposing the two 12V sealed lead acid batteries, the charger, and the controller. The batteries use AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) technology.

The AeroKART has an onboard 24V smart charger. The 110VAC plug can be pulled out approximately 6’.

GEAR BOX

Gear Box

A heavy duty gearbox and 24VDC motor is the heart of the AeroKART. A 1” axle mounts heavy duty billet aluminum hubs. The wheels are heavy duty made from 11ga. (.120”) steel.
